Our client is an exciting start-up still in stealth mode, focusing on the immunotherapy market. Currently building out their cell sciences team, they have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Scientist to join their Multi-Omics team. As an Associate Scientist, you will bring existing experience in multi-omics, analytics and target discovery. The Role: This position focuses on supporting and executing multi-omics workflows as part of a collaborative team. The goal is to develop the next generation of mammalian expression systems and cell lines to enable efficient pharmaceutical bioprocesses and cost-effective immunotherapeutics. Key Responsibilities: Design and contribute to the generation and interpretation of multi-omics datasets to advance cell line characterization and target discovery pipelines. Develop, optimize, and implement high-throughput sample preparation methods, including next-generation sequencing (NGS), transcriptomics, and other advanced analytical assays to accelerate research. Perform mammalian suspension cell culture and related techniques, such as passaging, banking, nucleofection, and genotyping, as well as assays including western blotting and FACS. Prepare and maintain key project deliverables, including SOPs, training documents, and COSHH forms. Train team members to a high level of competency to ensure data integrity. Accurately document research findings in laboratory notebooks. Present findings regularly in group meetings and provide updates to project teams and stakeholders. Contribute to routine laboratory maintenance, including equipment care, cleaning schedules, and consumables management. Share responsibility for out-of-hours cell culture maintenance. Adhere to and promote laboratory health, safety, and quality procedures. Assist with laboratory risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Maintain project confidentiality and ensure adherence to protocols. Stay updated on new technologies and relevant scientific developments to identify potential improvements and cost-reduction opportunities.
