We have two excellent opportunities for Trainee Site Managers to join our Housing Partnerships team in the North West. We will also accept applications from Graduates.
The purpose of the role is to observe and assist in the management of on-site construction activities, reporting on a regular basis to the Site Manager.

What you’ll do:
* Observe and assist the Site Manager to ensure all works are carried out safely, to programme, within budget and in accordance with all design standards and company procedures.
* Assist the Site Manager in managing contractors and labour on site to consistently deliver quality work in accordance with inspection and test plans.
* Help the Site Manager ensure that appropriate resources, plant and material are available.
* Ensure all works are carried out and monitored in accordance with the company safety policy and procedures, as well as current legislation, regulations, and environmental standards.
* Advise on improving health and safety management practices.
* Ensure and review activities on site follow agreed risk assessments and method statements.
* Assist in monitoring the quality on a project and ensure the correct resources are in place to meet quality standards and ‘Right First Time’ culture, within agreed timescales.
* Ensure works are carried out in accordance with drawings and specifications.
* Prepare short term programmes under the Site Manager's guidance.
* Assist the Site Manager in maintaining and controlling financial aspects of the contract and be aware of the project profit plan.
* Maintain a daily diary recording activities, resources, events, inductions, and all progress.
* Maintain drawings and update weekly package progress.
Have you got what it takes:
* GCSE English or equivalent (Grade 4-9) - Essential.
* GCSE Mathematics or equivalent (Grade 4-9) - Essential.
* A-Levels in 3 subjects or equivalent qualification at Level 3 (Grade C/ Pass) - Essential.
* Use of Microsoft Office Suite; including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project.
* Good people management and communication skills.
* Working towards developing a technical/construction background and knowledge.
* Working towards becoming commercially and contractually aware.
* Good organisational skills.
* Ability to forward plan and foresee potential problems together with solutions.
* A team player who demonstrates both leadership and supportive qualities.
* A strong focus on quality and customer service.
* Full UK driving licence.
