Position Overview: We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Specialty Doctor in Old Age Psychiatry with outpatient experience to join our esteemed team. The Specialty Doctor will play a vital role in delivering specialized psychiatric care to older adults in outpatient settings, contributing to the enhancement of mental health services and promoting holistic well-being for our aging population.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and evaluations of older adult patients in outpatient settings.
2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs and preferences of older adults with mental health conditions.
3. Provide ongoing psychiatric treatment, medication management, and psychotherapeutic interventions to optimize patient outcomes and promote recovery.
4. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, social workers, and community support services, to ensure coordinated and integrated care for older adults.
5. Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to address changing needs and goals.

Qualifications:
1. Medical degree from a recognized institution.
2. Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) or eligibility for registration.
3. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Psychiatry, with a focus on Old Age Psychiatry.
4. Demonstrated experience working in outpatient settings and providing psychiatric care to older adults.
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships with patients and colleagues.
6. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage caseloads effectively and prioritize competing demands.
7. Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice in Old Age Psychiatry.
