Our goal is to enable the analysis of any living thing, by anyone, anywhere We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join the Product Management team reporting to the Associate Director, Technical Content Writing and be responsible for the translation and maintenance of technical documents such as protocols, product manuals, the Oxford Nanopore Store catalogue, and application-specific documentation. The Details As the Oxford Nanopore product performance and offering expand, so too does the need to serve customers around the world in their native language. This role is specific to French. The role offers the opportunity to build very strong relationships with Oxford Nanopore R&D, Applications, and the Commercial team. The Technical Translator will manage the following portfolio of documentation: Sample extraction and pre-treatment protocols Library preparation protocols Sequencing device user manuals Software user manuals Data analysis user manuals Store content Technical information about each type of product The Technical Translator will be working closely with the product development and customer-facing teams to understand how the product works and how it is used by customers. They will also play an active role in improving our documentation and writing processes. The Technical Translator will generate documentation using a translation software suite and will also be using a range of content management and editing software. What We're Looking For… This role offers the opportunity to build very strong relationships with R&D, Applications, Production, and the Commercial team and is suitable for strong networkers. A degree in molecular biology or equivalent science degree is essential, as well as fluency in English and French. Previous experience in scientific/medical writing or technical translation would be an advantage. The candidate will have excellent written communication skills and strong attention to detail. Experience with document version control is highly desirable.
