About the opportunity
AXIOM is one of the DSA alliance partners and is an unincorporated Joint Venture (JV) made up of three major engineering contracting companies each with complementary capabilities and skills. The members have excellent nuclear pedigrees, demonstrated expertise and effective track records across the UK nuclear fleet and related nuclear industries.
AXIOM provides process, mechanical, civil structural and architectural, electrical, instrumentation, control and safety capabilities to support Sellafield Ltd.
We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to join our team in Birchwood Park.
You will be responsible for supporting the Lead Engineer(s) in all aspects of delivery across numerous projects from concept to handover.
This role will require stakeholder engagement with security case managers, system engineers, OTG, commissioning staff etc throughout the lifecycle but especially during the stakeholder requirements definition process and requirements analysis process. As a key role within the Integrated Project Team (IPT) you will work closely with other disciplines, including Project Management, Quality, Cost Controls, Team Members in other Workstreams and Projects, Systems Engineers, Capability (especially The Security in Design CoE) and OTG.
The role also covers engagement with the supply chain, delivery of the systems including checking and reviewing deliverables from internal and external sources, verification and validation, quality management.
You will also contribute to reporting requirements including ensuring any technical, safety and engineering risks are identified and escalated to the Lead Engineer(s).
Examples of Typical projects are:
* Provision of a Patching System to provide software patches to the Cyber Security suite of systems;
* Provision of a Network Time Protocol (NTP) system to deliver accurate time to the Cyber Security suite of systems and facilities;
Delivery Requirements:
* Experience in working with requirements capture and delivery.
* Familiar with industrial cyber security practices i.e., BS 62443.
* Familiar with the V-Model processes and deliverables for systems delivery.
* Experience of PES deliverables in all phases of the PES project delivery lifecycle.
* HNC/HND Qualified in appropriate discipline with professional registration (minimum Eng Tech) with a relevant institute (e.g. IET).
