About The Role
RAC have an exciting opportunity for a Retentions Manager to join our Consumer Trading team on a permanent basis.
This is a hybrid role – working 2 days a week from our Bradley Stoke office and 3 days working from home.
As a Retentions Manager, you will support the business to deliver commercial goals, driving initiatives to deliver opportunities whilst mitigating risks. Playing a key part in giving our customers reasons to stay with the RAC, you will become a subject expert in Breakdown and Car Insurance, working closely with our operational teams to align plans and strategies to meet our retention targets across both these areas.
The ideal candidate will be advanced in Excel, with excellent stakeholder management and experience in managing a subscription base, ideally in a financial services sector.
What you will do…
* Understand why our customers leave and create focus areas to improve, managing risks and opportunities.
* Work closely with the Finance team to prepare forecasts and drive actions, ensuring end-to-end forecasting accuracy.
* Work with the Commercial Props & Renewal CX teams to ensure we deliver the churn expectations.
* Drive, motivate and manage stakeholders to deliver in-flight changes to our proposition.
* Influence and negotiate with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure appropriate priority is given to retention ideas, tests and permanent change.
* Be aware of organisational and external change, overcoming threats that would harm our proposition, and leveraging opportunities.
* Deliver with enthusiasm and pace, accepting that requirements can change at short notice to support commercial needs.
* Working closely with our outbound operational team to maximise retention performance.
What you will need…
* Able to think like a customer and champion their needs across a diverse audience.
* Able to leverage customer insight and assess existing solutions and/or generate new ideas.
* Experience working with numbers, to be able to assess proposition performance and identify weaknesses/opportunities.
* Experience in financial business cases, as author, contributor or sponsor.
* The ability to influence (written and oral) stakeholders of all levels from across the business to change.
* The ability to drive change across multiple business areas.
* Knowledge and experience within the financial services sector.
