National Sales Manager – UK
Location: England
Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 + Company Car + Bonus + Associated Benefits
We are exclusively working with our client to find a highly motivated and strategic Business Development Manager to lead their sales strategy in the UK.
This role is initially a standalone role and is ideal for someone with a strong background in manufacturing/building materials and a deep understanding of distribution channels and networks. You will be responsible for driving business growth, managing key accounts, and overseeing projects that align with market strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute strategic business plans to drive sales growth and market expansion within the UK market.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distribution partners, and industry stakeholders.
* Oversee project management with major clients, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with client expectations.
* Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to increase market share within the building materials sector.
* Manage distribution channels and networks to optimise product availability and customer service.
* Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to adjust business strategies and maintain a competitive advantage.
* Ensure operational compliance with company policies and local market regulations.
* Prepare and manage budgets, sales forecasts, and financial performance reports to meet business objectives.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience in a senior leadership role, ideally as a National Sales Manager/Business Development Manager - UK or similar position in the building materials industry.
* Strong background in managing distribution channels, networks, and sales operations.
* Demonstrated experience in project management with key accounts, ensuring the delivery of high-value projects.
* Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
* Strong commercial acumen and strategic mindset, with a track record of achieving business growth targets.
* Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities with a customer-centric approach.
* Experience in managing budgets, P&L, and overall financial performance metrics.
* Full, clean driving license and willingness to travel within UK.
