A talented and motivated photographer to capture high-quality images that represent the football Club’s brand, covering a wide range of activities including matches, training sessions, community events, and behind-the-scenes moments. The role involves creating compelling visual content for use across the Club’s media platforms, marketing materials, and promotional campaigns to achieve KPIs for social media impressions, engagement and revenue targets. Managing and developing a team of freelancers and students to ensure on brand and consistent output across the Club’s football teams. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Photography and Content Creation Capture high-quality, engaging photographs of matches, training sessions, player profiles, Club events, and behind-the-scenes activities. Working closely with the Global Brand Leader and Design and Brand manager produce creative and visually appealing images that align with the Club's brand and marketing and content strategies. Edit and process images for use across various media channels, including social media, the club website, printed materials, and promotional campaigns. Conduct regular research and benchmarking to stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging trends and technologies. Matchday and Event Coverage Attend and cover all first team men’s home and away matches, ensuring key moments are captured. Ensure that all women’s team, U21s and U18s matches are captured to a consistent style and high standard. Photograph Club events, including press conferences, Blues Foundation community outreach programmes, sponsor events, and fan activities. Work closely with the content, production and communications team to ensure all events are documented visually. Collaboration and Coordination Collaborate with the media and communications team to plan and execute photography assignments. Build a network of freelancers and students to cover all Club matches and events. Work with the marketing department to provide images for campaigns, merchandise, and promotional materials. Coordinate and build rapport with players, coaches, and staff to schedule and conduct photo sessions as needed. Digital Asset Management Maintain an organised and up-to-date digital archive of all photographs. Ensure proper tagging and storage of images for easy retrieval. Manage the Club’s photo database and provide access to images as required by different departments. Brand Representation Ensure all images adhere to the Club’s brand guidelines and visual identity. Stay updated on current photography trends and techniques to keep the Club’s visual content fresh and engaging. Always represent the Club professionally, maintaining a positive image in all interactions What we're looking for in you Qualifications A bachelor’s degree in photography, visual arts, or a related field is preferred. Experience Experience of professional photography experience, ideally in a sports or event photography role. Proven track record of producing high-quality photographic content. Knowledge and Skills Proficiency with professional camera equipment and editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom). Strong understanding of lighting, composition, and post-production processes. Excellent attention to detail and creative vision. Strong organisational and time management skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team. Personal Requirements Passion for football and understanding of the sport’s visual storytelling. Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong work ethic. Terms of Appointment 37.5 hours per week, with flexibility to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends depending on match fixtures 20 days annual leave (rising by 1 day per completed year of service, up to a maximum of 25 days, plus 8 statutory bank holidays). 6-month probation period.
