Leadership and Innovation in Medical Examinations
About the Role:
The Examination Director at Cpl Health Talent will provide strategic leadership to ensure high standards, continuous improvement, and innovative approaches within the examinations function. In this role, you will oversee the Head of Exams and Quality Standards, collaborating closely with senior leaders, the Dean, Chief Examiner, and examiners to drive performance and maintain excellence in examination delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Leadership and Management: Lead the examinations team to foster a high-performance culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
* Develop and Implement Strategies: Develop and implement strategies with senior leaders to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with RCEM, GMC, and AoRMC standards in examination delivery.
* Innovation and Change Management: Act as a champion of innovation, modernizing practices within the examinations department.
* Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Build and sustain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Directors, Department Heads, the Dean, Chief Examiner, and examiners.
Requirements:
* Education: A strong educational background, ideally with qualifications in a related field.
* Experience: Extensive senior leadership experience in an educational or examinations environment with a proven record of high performance.
* Skills: Strong strategic leadership, fostering a high-performance culture and guiding operational delivery; Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to influence at senior levels and liaise effectively across departments.
Salary Range:
The salary for this role is estimated to be around £65,000-£80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
