THE ROLE: Join us as a fleet planner within our Central Planning Team, based in our state of the art national operations centre in the Midlands, where you will be planning daily fleet activity for 200 plus vehicles. This role carries out a vital functional to ensure customer excellence, using cutting edge systems to manage customer orders from receipt to POD. This role is based in a fast-paced, technology and performance driven environment. Success is demanded and performance rewarded. THE SALARY: Competitive based on experience BENEFITS: Free on-site parking, popular Rewards Scheme, SHIFT INFORMATION: Various shift patterns available including Mon – Fri, 4 on 4 off WHERE YOU WILL BE BASED: You will be based in our flagship office in Ashby-de-la-Zouch (LE65 1JR) WHAT WILL BE YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITES? · Plan vehicle resources to optimise revenue & profitability · Plan vehicle resources to ensure service to customer excellence achieved · Enable efficient execution to drive optimum cost control · Maintain traffic management system (TMS) to ensure all details entered are accurate and completed in full · Work with internal and external customers, departments and other depots to plan routes, schedule delivery times to ensure the smooth running of the operation, and ensure vehicles are utilized in the most efficient manner. WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? · Knowledge of driver’s hours and vehicle compliance · Transport planning experience in FMCG sector · Experience working to financial and performance targets · A self-starter and team player sharing success across the planning team · Excellent attention to detail · Excellent communication skills, spoken and written · A methodical and structured approach to problem solving · An approachable attitude and a flexible approach to work · Strong PC Literacy including Word & Excel in a business capacity · Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent WHAT WILL WE OFFER?
