Role Overview: As an Environmental Support & Enforcement Officer, you'll patrol the borough, engage with the community, educate on environmental issues, and enforce legislation by issuing Fixed Penalty Notices when necessary. Key Responsibilities for Environmental Support & Enforcement Officer : Patrolling : Follow an agreed deployment strategy to patrol the borough. Investigating : Address complaints from the community and report findings to your Team Manager. Educating : Raise awareness about environmental crime and the importance of community participation in keeping the borough clean. Enforcing : Interact with offenders and issue Fixed Penalty Notices for relevant offences. Learning: Stay well-versed in legislation through our bespoke Enviro Crime Induction Course. Documenting: Maintain thorough notebook entries and witness statements for each issuance. Ideal Candidate for Environmental Support & Enforcement Officer : Effective Communicator: Comfortable engaging with the public, even in challenging situations. Team Player: Able to work independently and as part of a team. Physically Fit: Capable of prolonged foot patrols in all weather conditions. Detail-Oriented: Clear and concise in writing reports. Proactive: Able to use initiative in carrying out duties. Trained: Willing to complete our Enviro Crime Induction Course and demonstrate competence in independent patrols. Additional Information for the Environmental Support & Enforcement Officer: Schedule: 5-day work pattern, Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm.
