Procurement Assistant

Jackson Hogg Procurement division are delighted to bring to the market an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Assistant to join an innovative and rapidly growing manufacturing business in Newton Aycliffe.
This is a full time and permanent role based onsite offering £30-35k DOE with some highly competitive benefits. The role is 37 hours per week and flexibility can be offered with working times between 08:00-16:00 and 09:00-17:00 depending on preference.

The Role:
* Assist with day-to-day Procurement administration and provide support to the Purchasing Team by working closely with both internal colleagues and Suppliers
* To manage and maintain the contract management libraries for In-Direct procurement.
* Order placement using the current SAP system (ensuring orders meet all critical paths required)
* Order management including but not limited to-Expediting, tracking, updating and processing of acknowledgements
* Process new vendor creation/change requests
* Produce and issue and award small tenders/ request for quotations
* Analysis of purchasing data and preparation of information for supplier reviews.
* Support corrective actions for invoice queries
The Person/Specification:
*
SAP system – Knowledge and understanding of SAP
*
Good written and verbal communication skills
*
Knowledge of Excel and other MS systems, particularly related to interpreting and presenting data in the form of KPIs.
*
Understand the Purchase to Pay process
*
Strong planning, organising and problem-solving skills
*
Self-starter and proactive behaviour
*
Positive attitude to work
*
Enthusiastic problem solver
