Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a critical regulatory programme within a global banking environment. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in delivering large-scale regulatory, operational risk, and control risk programmes. The role will work closely with Director-level peers and senior stakeholders, including CCSO and technology teams, to ensure alignment on strategic deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Stakeholder Management and Communication: Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the bank, ensuring clear communication and alignment on programme goals. Act as the liaison between business and technology teams, balancing priorities and resource needs across both areas.
2. Resource and Cost Management: Manage resource allocation, overseeing internal and external team members, as well as technology and business resources. Develop and maintain a cost management structure, ensuring all resources are used efficiently to deliver within budget constraints.
3. Technology and Business Alignment: Deliver technology solutions that align with business requirements, ensuring successful integration across both domains. Demonstrate strong technology acumen to facilitate the translation of business needs into technological solutions that meet programme objectives.
4. Governance and Compliance: Lead governance activities to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Oversee risk management processes, including operational and control risks, and ensure that the programme adheres to corporate governance standards.
5. Reporting and Analysis: Oversee external reporting processes to ensure timely and accurate communication with relevant business units and regulatory bodies. Provide analysis and insights on programme performance, addressing issues, escalating as needed, and offering solutions to mitigate risks.
Key Skills and Experience:
6. Significant experience working within global banking.
7. Proven expertise in regulatory programme management, focusing on operational risks and control risks.
8. Demonstrated proficiency in stakeholder management, with a focus on managing complex relationships at Director level and above.
9. Strong governance knowledge, ensuring projects are delivered in compliance with both regulatory and corporate standards.
10. Ability to drive digital and technology change, with a balance between business acumen and technology expertise.
11. Experienced in budgeting, resource coordination, cost-benefit analysis, risk and control management, and issue escalation.
Qualifications:
12. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) are preferred.
13. Extensive experience in corporate governance, change management, and regulatory programme delivery.
14. Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
