Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Early Morning Intervention and Breakfast Club Leader to join our team at Riverside Primary School. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on students' mornings by overseeing our breakfast club and supporting small group interventions across the school. A successful candidate will be passionate about creating a welcoming environment for students and fostering their personal development through targeted interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
Breakfast Club (7:00 AM – 9:00 AM):
* Lead the daily breakfast club, ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and structured environment for students.
* Organise and supervise activities, including breakfast service, engaging students in positive and productive interactions.
* Ensure students follow breakfast club routines and maintain high standards of behaviour.
* Prepare and serve breakfast, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met.
* Monitor student health and well-being, providing appropriate support when needed.
* Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that sets students up for success in the school day ahead.
Small Group Interventions (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM):
* Support with small group interventions across various subjects, focusing on students who need additional academic, social, or emotional support.
* Collaborate with teachers and learning support staff to identify student needs and plan effective intervention strategies.
* Provide one-to-one or small group support, adapting teaching methods to individual student needs.
* Track student progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and other staff members.
* Contribute to a positive and supportive learning environment where all students feel valued.
Skills Test & Interview:
Candidates will be required to complete a basic maths and literacy skills test during the interview process.
Essential Requirements:
* Experience working with children in an educational or care setting.
* A passion for supporting children's development and well-being.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage and motivate groups of students, promoting positive behaviour and a sense of responsibility.
* Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
* Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices.
* Basic food hygiene certification or willingness to complete training (if applicable).
Desirable Skills:
* Experience in delivering small group interventions or support for students with additional needs.
* First aid qualification (or willingness to complete training).
* Understanding of the importance of early morning routines for children’s mental and physical well-being.
