We are seeking to recruit an experienced Senior Building Services Manager to join the team. This is an opportunity to support the regional growth of the building services team. Responsibilities The successful candidate will be experienced in Managing all aspects of the design, delivery and commissioning of Building Services in a construction environment. The candidate should be experienced in the pre-construction stage of projects to support the work winning. Working with Tender and Preconstruction Teams to ensure client requirements are met and proposals reflect their needs and the contract. Making sure all Building services needs are met, reflected in the building and fabric with information delivered in good time. Managing the Design, Drawings and approvals process in line with programme. Making sure projects comply with building regulations, planning conditions, specifications and BREEAM. Supporting Planning teams in making sure building services are fully integrated into the delivery programme and execution plans. Establishing and managing quality systems to make sure exacting standards and specifications are met. Supporting Site management and Health and safety teams with review of method statements and safe systems of work Monitoring progress against targets and assisting the project management team with making sure specialist contractors resource and approach the project as needed. Support the Quantity surveying and commercial teams with review of changes to contract and valuations of the work. This includes making sure changes are properly recorded, instructed where necessary and implications fully understood. Managing the commissioning process and training to make sure all systems operate as design, design and validation teams are satisfied and building users trained in operation. Attending client progress and technical meetings and chairing specialist design, progress and commissioning meetings. Support the development of the building services processes and procedures. Engaging with the wider senior leadership team to support the ongoing business improvement processes. Leading the recruitment and selection process for your team Managing the training needs and development of your team Qualifications Essential Applicants should have as a minimum, one of the following or equivalent; Technically Qualified in a Mechanical or Electrical Trade with Contract Management Experience Electrical or Mechanical Engineering to HNC / HND level Excellent communication skills Proven record of management level experience Desirable CIBSE Chartered Engineer NEBOSH 3D Revit/BIM Amtech Pro Design CSR Platinum (Site Managers) IOSH Managing Safely in Construction Microsoft Training (Project) Asbestos Awareness I nspirational Leadership Experience Extensive experience preferably with a Main Contractor or MEP Contractor managing the delivery of Building Services in construction projects throughout various industry sectors including Defence, health, education, leisure, commercial and industrial. Experience managing a Building Services Team in either a Main Contracting or MEP Sub-contracting environment. What's in it for you?
