Role: Aerospace Production Planner
Site Location: Cheltenham
Rate: £21.29 PAYE + 22% increase shift allowance for SWING SHIFT
Shift Schedule: 1-week earlies (6am - 1:30pm) - 1-week afternoons (1:15pm - 9:15pm) (No Night shift)
Duration: 12-month contract
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Act as a Production Planner (Material Planner) within the Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) Materials Team, ensuring accurate and efficient material throughput.
2. Ensure world class standards of material flow, storage, accuracy, and quality to support the PCB manufacturing facility.
3. Execute the PCB Production Plan to manage work-order launches combined with effective material presentation and control.
4. Attend daily operating rhythms to ensure clarity of cell material position.
5. Use planning methods to execute in line with the Production Plan.
6. Review material position and drive supply-chain to deliver in line with customer requirements.
7. Apply problem-solving skills to overcome cell queries and provide swift resolutions.
8. Assist coaches and leadership with process improvements to develop the performance of the local team and the wider manufacturing workshop.
9. Support leadership on process improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time, improve clear-to-build (CTB), reduce manufacturing losses, and develop world-class material presentation.
10. Deliver on personal goals agreed with leadership relating to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.

Qualification / Requirements:
IT literate with confident use of PC packages and experienced in the use of ERP/MRP planning systems.
