Audiovisual Systems Engineer and Consultant TAD is seeking a Audiovisual Systems Engineer with 5 years’s experience to join our audiovisual media and technology design-consulting firm. This individual will be responsible for the design, engineering, and end to end architecture of audio/video conferencing solutions in corporate environments. The position offers continuing education, the support of a deep and diverse team of designers, project managers and engineers, as well as the opportunity to participate in strategic enterprise AV projects, creative AV projects, and monitoring and smart building design scopes. The position requires technical subject matter expertise and the ability to work closely with team members, clients, and third-party contractors. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: The design of conferencing spaces including multi-purpose rooms, control rooms, operations centers, showrooms, cultural exhibits, auditoriums and light broadcast facilities. Coordination with internal and external teams on design details such as: mounting, cooling, power, network architecture, low voltage requirements, and conduit designs. Participate in design, assessment, and coordination with internal and external teams. Assist with knowledge transfer to internal engineering and operational peers. Research new technologies, services and products, and evaluate their applicability within Client’s Offices. Maintain knowledge base and offer innovative ideas that will enhance our solutions. Strategic evaluation of products and solutions from the perspective of multiple user profiles and client objectives Qualifications: 2 years of education or hands-on work experience in an audio, video, or electrical engineering discipline. 5 years of designing & implementing audiovisual solutions for large corporations Preferred Certifications: CTS or CTS-D, CCNA Certification, AWS Certification, Azure Certification Skills: Fluency with drawing audiovisual and network system diagrams using AutoCad, Visio or similar software. Fluency with AV design programs such as Revit, AutoCad. Experience in architectural requirements and implications for AV and IT. Programming Literacy – sufficient to communicate and coordinate requirements in part of a larger collaboration. Ability to effectively communicate with team members and clients (written, spoken). Ability to think and present clear structural arguments Experience in coordinating Network Architecture for AV – VLAN, Virtual Environments, Router, Switches. Comprehensive Understanding of Video Conferencing Solutions and technologies. Knowledge of corporate collaboration and communication platforms. D-Tools experience is preferred. Experience with IT and Security Low Voltage Infrastructure design is a bonus.
