Male Learning Support Assistant for Autism Base
North Cardiff
Do you have personal or professional experience with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? Do you have a passion for helping and supporting young people with Autism navigate the tricky journey through education? Teaching Personnel are seeking a calm and conscientious individual for the role of Learning Support Assistant to work with pupil(s) with ASD starting in September in the North Cardiff area.
Successful applicants will be working with pupils within KS3 & 4 (potentially KS5 for the right candidate), where their interests and personality will be matched with pupil(s) who they can best support whilst building a strong working relationship to motivate the pupil to achieve their potential. This role could potentially see the successful candidate work within an ASD base amongst a team of likeminded support staff or possibly supporting a pupil 1:1 whilst integrated within mainstream classes. They would be under the instruction of the head of the ASD base.
No experience working with ASD? Not a problem, Teaching Personnel can support you with professional development courses to ensure you are fully equipped for the role.
