Description
We have an opportunity for a Business Support Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative services to the Employment Services team. Can operate with minimum supervision regarding the day-to-day planning, organisation, and performance of duties, ensuring that photocopying, filing, mail distribution, specified correspondence, and basis data input duties are correctly and promptly undertaken.
Responsibilities
Update manual and computerised records/management information systems to defined standards. To contribute to developing improved procedures to support an effective Employment Service Centre service.
Qualification – Essential
* GCSE Grade (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
* NVQ 3in a relevant discipline or equivalent.
* Advanced –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Social Media.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience Requirements - Criteria-to be Tested at Shortlisting.
* General clerical/administrative work experience within a mid to large organisation.
* Experience in delivering standard administrative activities to short timescales,
* Ability to maintain a consistently high level of performance and commitment to the quality of customer care.
* Understanding of contemporary Human Resources and Payroll processes.
* Demonstrable evidence of good literacy, numeracy and ICT competency standards in using Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Data inputting/word processing to intermediate level or equivalent skills.
* Good organisational skills with a proven ability to perform various routine clerical and administrative activities with the ability to prioritise and adapt quickly to meet varied deadlines.
* Able to learn quickly, organise, use judgement to resolve problems and suggest process improvements.
* Able to work under pressure and meet individual and team targets, demonstrating a flexible approach to deadlines and service objectives.
* Good written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to maintain good relationships with people at all organisational levels.
* Team worker with good interpersonal skills, willing to partner with others and participate in tasks across Employment Services.
