The Role: As Materials Planner, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials, with a particular focus on packaging. Reporting to the Planning Manager, you'll manage inventory levels and coordinate with procurement and production teams to ensure materials are readily available to meet production schedules.
Initially, this role will require full-time on-site presence during the first three months to integrate into the team and operations, after which a hybrid work pattern can be introduced.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain material plans to meet production schedules and demand forecasts Manage internal relationships to ensure timely deliveries and resolve supply chain issues Monitor stock levels and manage inventory to avoid shortages or overstocking Collaborate with production, procurement, and other internal teams to optimise material flows Analyse usage patterns, material requirements, and production data to improve planning accuracy Maintain accurate records and systems for material planning and supplier managementKey Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as a Materials Planner, Supply Chain Coordinator, Logistics Planner (or similar), ideally within FMCG or wholesale. Experience with packaging materials is advantageous Solid knowledge of material planning processes Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail Proficiency in planning tools and software; strong Excel skills are essentialWhat's on Offer:
