SEND Teaching Assistants (with midday assistant duties)
Salary Grade: TA role - Scale 2, point 3 - £24,027.00 (pro rata).
Midday role - Scale 1, point 2 - £23,656.00 (pro rata).
Working Pattern: Part time, term time
Working Hours: 28.27 hours (with 2.5 hours midday assistant duties)
Contract Type: Fixed Term
The governors of this successful and happy school are looking to appoint an exceptional teaching assistant, with experience of working with autistic children, cognitive learning needs and challenging behaviour. The successful candidates will be class based in KS2, supporting pupils learning, preparing resources, leading intervention and other tasks as directed by the teacher and SENDCo. They will also support children with SEND during lunchtimes.
We wish to appoint SEND teaching assistants who are:

Sensitive and patient in their dealings with children who have significant additional needs and who may, at times, present challenging behaviour
Knowledgeable about, or interested in, working with children who have complex needs
