We are currently looking for a Finance Manager - FP&A to join our talented team of 90 finance professionals in our fast-paced vehicle leasing business. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the accurate and timely delivery of robust financial budgets and forecasts across various business areas. In this role, you will act as a trusted partner, providing essential insights and being the primary point of contact for all cost-related matters.
Working closely with the Head of FP&A and Senior Leaders, you will drive strategic growth by delivering commercial analysis and reporting, identifying trends, and evaluating profit opportunities in your focus areas.
WHAT'S THE ROLE?
* Develop short and long-term financial plans, producing insightful reports for executive and leadership boards that highlight trends, bridge movements between periods, and provide sensitivity analysis with actionable recommendations.
* Collaborate with divisional executives to ensure budgets align with evolving business needs and key performance indicators, while thoroughly understanding cost allocations.
* Monitor monthly actuals against financial plans, identifying risks and opportunities, and engaging with business leaders to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
* Serve as the go-to expert for your area (e.g., overheads, C&V, Consumer, IT), delivering detailed analysis and holding the business accountable for their financial performance.
* Conduct comprehensive commercial analysis, providing business analytics to directors and influencing the decision-making process. Set KPIs and objectives for your area, presenting findings at executive boards.
* Participate in due diligence and transaction support work, ensuring thorough evaluations and analyses.
* Train and mentor team members, sharing skills and knowledge, and supporting broader finance training initiatives across the organization.
* Act as an ambassador for the finance function, engaging with colleagues in relevant areas to develop a strong network of contacts.
WHAT YOU CAN OFFER?
We are looking for a qualified accountant with experience in practice or within a multi-disciplined finance function in medium to large organisations. Your ideal background includes:
* Proven experience in FP&A or financial analysis roles.
* Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
* Experience in commercial analysis and providing insights to senior management.
* Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to manage and interpret complex data sets.
* A commercial mindset that drives decisions and supports the organisation's objectives.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, essential for managing competing priorities.
* Proficient communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling effective collaboration and influence across all levels of the business.
* Advanced IT skills, especially in Microsoft Excel, along with strong modelling and analytical abilities.
