Estimator Location: Middlesbrough Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 Employment Type: Full-time Are you an experienced Estimator with a background in construction and keen attention to detail? This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisational that specialises in innovative construction solutions. The Role: As an Estimator, you will be pivotal in supporting the growth and profitability of the company by preparing accurate and competitive estimates for supply, assembly, and installation services. You will manage estimates for Load Bearing Light Steel Frame (LSF) projects and additional services offered by the company, while also mentoring junior estimators. Key Responsibilities: Log and maintain enquiries in the enquiry log, ensuring accurate updates on project tenders. Prepare and present estimates, including labour, materials, plant, and time requirements. Produce quotes following the company's Quality Management System (QMS). Gather and analyze proposals, specifications, and other relevant documents to prepare estimates. Collaborate with the Commercial team to integrate site costs into pricing. Manage communications with clients throughout the tender process, providing updates and post-tender follow-ups. Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry influences to drive business growth. Ensure accurate recording of all quotes issued and deliver informative project handovers upon receipt of purchase orders or letters of intent. Support the development of new products and services to increase value and profitability. Essential Skills & Experience: Proven experience in estimating within the construction industry, preferably with LSF expertise. Ability to interpret proposals, specifications, and technical documents. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Proficiency with estimating software and documentation.
