Position: Remote Sensing Analyst
Location: Northern Research Station, Roslin, EH25 9SY (Blended working available)
The Remote Sensing Analyst role at Forest Research (FR) encompasses a wide range of analytical and technical activities, providing opportunities to acquire new skills and develop your career. You will be part of the Forest Information and Statistics Team within IFOS (Inventory, Forecasting and Operational Support), responsible for supporting the National Forest Inventory fieldwork schedule, producing and maintaining the NFI woodland map, and conducting NFI data analysis and reporting.
This position is a key role that supports Forest Research’s work programme. We are seeking an individual to provide technical knowledge and skills in the analysis of remote sensing data to help FR effectively achieve its remote sensing objectives and deliverables. This is an exciting time to join the remote sensing team as there is significant interest in remote sensing and the use of new technologies within IFOS.
