Overview
Everest People Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to oversee the daily quality function for a prestigious food production company. The main purpose of the role is ensuring compliance with BRC standards, legislation, and customer requirements.
You will manage the Quality Management System, support the Technical Manager in food safety compliance, and ensure company objectives are met within set timescales.
Key Responsibilities of the Quality Manager
* Ensure site adherence to quality systems, BRC 8, and customer standards.
* Manage food safety training, including CCPs, allergens, GMP, and microbiology awareness.
* Supervise QA Technologists and support the production team in meeting technical and quality standards.
* Monitor and maintain process controls, product quality, and audit documentation.
* Conduct root cause analysis on customer complaints and non-conformances, implementing corrective actions.
* Oversee equipment functionality and the taste panel system for product review.
* Assist with customer visits, third-party audits, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Qualifications and Experience of the Quality Manager
* Minimum 5 years' experience in food manufacturing quality assurance.
* Level 3 Food Safety & HACCP certification.
* Experience with BRC standards and managing QMS.
* Strong understanding of key food industry legislation
