A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a definition draughtsperson/CAD Modeller with drive and enthusiasm to join Europe's number one missile system provider, developing solutions for complex weapons and weapon systems.
Salary: Circa £48,000 - £50,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:
An exciting opportunity to join a diverse, growing Definition Team which is an integral part of the Mechanical Engineering department at MBDA. You will have the opportunity to work across multiple projects at various points in the product lifecycle. As a Definition Draughtsperson you will be involved in the creation of definitions for the next generation of missiles working with skilled engineers. You will maximise the use of 3D CAD capabilities including improving the efficiency and effectiveness in the creation of robust parametric models.
What we're looking for from you:
* Ideally HND/HNC qualified with significant experience in mechanical design definition
* Ability to translate design intent from 3D models into high quality 2D/3D definitions (preferably CREO)
* Strong background in the production of engineering drawings with high attention to detail
* Good working knowledge of 3D modelling experience and be able to assess 3D models for their quality (experience in 3D annotations would be an advantage)
* Knowledge of BS8888 Technical product documentation and specification, ISO 1101 Geometrical product specifications, ISO 5459 Datum and datum systems and similar standards and GD & T
* Great communication skills with the drive and initiative to influence across a network of both domestic and international colleagues
