Senior Financial Analyst, Global Finance Transformation

The Global Finance Transformation Team collaborates with accounting, tax compliance, and technical teams around the globe to deliver world-class automated accounting solutions that are highly scalable, secure, and flexible, all while maintaining a strong customer focus.
This role concentrates on automation of Compliance Reporting, and you will work with stakeholders and multiple global accounting teams to identify, define, and specify solutions meeting our customers' needs.
Key Job Responsibilities
1. Act as the point of contact between Accounting, Tax, and Fintech teams.
2. Write country-specific Business Requirement documents based on the guidelines published by the tax authorities, including necessary scope, details, and answers to frequently asked questions by tech automation partners.
3. Map Accounting data sets from Amazon systems to relevant local legislation’s schema for compliance reports.
4. Test automated output reports against underlying records efficiently using technologies such as Alteryx, Python, SQL, etc., to automate reports including validation criteria.
5. Work closely with other functional and system teams to understand impacts of changes due to process changes and communicate them to relevant tax and accounting stakeholders.
6. Drive standardization and continuous improvement of processes and controls to obtain the highest integrity of financial reporting (US and local GAAP) and tax compliance.
7. Deliver compliance reporting for a variety of different jurisdictions.
8. Identify, assess, and mitigate risks; provide escalation management; anticipate bottlenecks; make tradeoffs; and balance business needs versus technical constraints.
9. Partner with customers and program managers to drive alignment where there are opportunities to drive standardization and scalability.
Minimum Qualifications
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Technology.
- Significant experience within accounting with a BI or data analyst background, preferably gained within a Big Four firm and/or a multinational organization.
- Adept in accounting and tax principles.
- Several years of experience delivering cross-functional projects for large and global entities in a matrix structure with technical and non-technical stakeholders at various levels, from operational roles to executive leadership with fluent English.
- Skilled in data visualization techniques and reconciliation of big data using technologies such as SQL, Alteryx, Python, VBA, Tableau, and MS Excel.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguous requests, prioritizing effectively.
- Project management qualification (e.g., PMP, IMPA) or equivalent experience.
- Experienced ERP user, using technology solutions to optimize business processes.
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
