Are you a compassionate and dedicated support worker with a passion for working with children and young people? We’re seeking a Full time TA to join our team at a specialist school in Slough this January. This role involves working closely with students who face complex Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team helping students overcome barriers to learning and re-engage with education. Responsibilities Assist class teachers in developing and implementing Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) to support student learning. Motivate students who may exhibit challenging behaviour and dysregulated emotions to engage in their education. Collaborate with teachers and therapists to identify and address barriers to learning. Provide practical emotional and educational support to promote self-confidence and motivation. Maintain a calm and safe environment, especially in challenging situations. Implement strategies to support students in regulating their emotions positively and constructively. Requirements ✅ Relevant experience working with vulnerable young people in a support or mentoring role. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential. Enhanced DBS check. Up-to-date safeguarding training.
