Job Description: As a Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for a variety of refurbishment projects. Your primary duties will include: Analysing project plans and specifications to prepare comprehensive cost estimates. Visiting project sites to gather information and assess the scope of work. Collaborating with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing. Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and contractors. Preparing and presenting estimates to clients and stakeholders. Monitoring project costs to ensure alignment with estimates. Adjusting estimates as necessary to reflect changes in project scope or conditions. Maintaining detailed records of all estimates and related documentation. Requirements: Proven experience as a Construction Estimator, preferably in the healthcare sector. Extensive knowledge of refurbishment projects, particularly in hospitals, care homes, and retirement villages. Experience estimating costs for kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and canteens. Strong analytical and mathematical skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
