Purchasing & CostControl Supervisor POSITION PURPOSE
Reporting directly to the Assistant Directorof Finance, this supervisory level role is key to the success of the Financefunction overall. Responsible for monitoring and challenging all costs andpurchasing across the resort, to ensure key performance indicators are met andprofits are maximised. Supervise dailythe Goods Receiver/Yard Man, to ensure quality systems/procedures aremaintained to required standards. Ensuring all Health & Safety requirementsare met, in line with company SOPs, HACCP regulations and general H&S.Assisting the wider Finance function as and when required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Analyse the Food & Beverage Costs acrossmultiple outlets
2. Review and audit F&B recipes and pricing
3. Undertake stock takes as required for Food,Beverage and Retail (both Golf & Spa)
4. Supervise the Goods Receiver/Yard Man,managing daily productivity and quality of performance and providing cover whenoff
5. Analyse and report stock variances to theAssistant Director of Finance and Heads of Departments, as necessary
6. Review and generate reports on all key costareas across the resort, for distribution to stakeholders
7. Maintain pricing and content of the Point OfSale (POS) systems
8. Audit operations on delivery of service - spotcheck dishes, monitor buffet costs and wastage
9. Develop and review all par stocks and ensureadherence to controlled limits
10. Support Managers in achieving budgeted cost ofsales
11. Negotiate supplier contracts, evaluate bids,make recommendations and secure department-specific internal approval beforecommitting to contracts.
CANDIDATESPECIFICATION
12. At least 3 years of experience in a Purchasingor Cost Control function within the hospitality or food & beverage industryis preferred
13. Previous experience within a Finance /Accounting function is essential
14. Previous experience with Micros Simphony ispreferred
15. Computer skills required, including POSsystems and intermediate-level spreadsheet packages
16. Self-motivated and able to manage own workload
17. Able to communicate and challenge effectivelyacross all levels of the business
18. Organised, methodical and detailedorientated
