We’re recruiting for a Regional Manager to oversee the strategic development and successful implementation of standardised services, processes, and partnerships across HMPPS PES CIAG delivery within the prisons. This role is crucial for maintaining high standards and ensuring the smooth operation of prison services across the region.
Our ideal candidate for this position would possess proven experience in leading and managing teams, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff. You’ll have the ability to work effectively in a challenging and dynamic environment, demonstrating resilience and adaptability.
These attributes will ensure the candidate can effectively lead the regional development and delivery of CIAG services within the prison system.

Location: You will need to travel between prisons in the South Central region, including Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Worcestershire. This role will also involve some overnight stays
Hours: 37 Hours per week
Contract: Permanent

Key Responsibilities
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to raise awareness of the PES CIAG provision, attend meetings/forums and boards to build and maintain effective partnership working.
• Oversee 1-2-1 case management activity, ensuring robust PLP’s are in place and are regularly reviewed, driving achievement of PES CIAG programme objectives.
• Work with the Education Provider to identify, source and onboard pathways that meet the ever-changing needs of the prisons and prisoner population. Ensuring this is in line with the commissioner’s processes and guidance.
• Review all prisoner feedback and use this to inform Quality/Continuous Improvement Planning in conjunction with the Quality and Compliance Team and Regional Manager.

Skills and Experience
Essential
• GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths at Grade C or above
• Willing to undertake professional training to maintain standards and support CPD
• Level 5 Management (equivalent) desirable
• Substantial operational experience contract delivery within one or more sites (including custody) and demonstrable experience of leading a team of case management staff to achieve programme objectives and KPI (Key Performance Indicators).
• Experience of inputting and retrieving electronic data and maintain computer-based information systems in an accurate and timely manner.
• Critical thinking and reflections to support the evaluation of interventions and service delivery, identifying areas for development. Proactive identification and resolution of risks and issues.
• Excellent verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills, including and the ability to relate to people at all levels and in a variety of settings.
