Job summary
The Head of Maintenance role at Iverley View Care Home offers an opportunity to ensure the care home environment is well-maintained and comfortable for residents. The successful candidate will have a hands-on approach to property maintenance, leading a team and working closely with the General Manager to manage the annual budget. This is a varied role that requires reliability, flexibility, and a focus on the wellbeing of the residents.
Main duties of the job
As a Head of Maintenance at a Barchester care home, you'll make sure we have a clean and well-maintained environment so that residents feel at home and staff can do their jobs well. You can expect plenty of variety as a Head of Maintenance, from fixing a leaky tap to planting new bulbs. You should be comfortable working alone, leading a team, and supporting the General Manager with annual budget planning. Liaising with contractors on jobs that fall outside your team's expertise is also part of the role.

ABOUT YOU

You should be reliable and flexible regarding your working hours. This role also requires a full UK driving licence, IT literacy, and GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent).

Essential
