Fantastic opportunity to join Equip as Management Accountant based at our Head Office in Alfreton, Derbyshire.
This role forms part of the Finance Team responsible for ensuring that there is sufficient commercial financial information to support the business in key decision making. We have offices in 7 countries and either owned or third-party run distribution centres in the UK, Netherlands and North America to serve our customers around the world.
You will contribute to the achievement of the company objectives and statutory duties by playing a key role in managing the valuation and aging of stock, delivering key commercial finance projects that will develop the Group. In addition, delivering financial information and advice to various budget holders to support effective management control and decision making, enabling the organisation to plan, monitor, report and use its financial resources in an effective and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities of Management Accountant (including but not limited to):
• Taking a key role in managing the valuation and aging of stock and making recommendations to the SMT and Board
• Delivering a range of commercial finance projects across the Group to support key strategic objectives
• Manage the development and production of the subsidiary management accounts
• Assisting with the production of the Group budgets and forecasts
• Conduct the monthly gross margin review and reconciliation
• Processing ledger transactions and balance sheet reconciliations
• Conduct the monthly group stock valuations and provisions
• Calculate and process group GM provisions
• Monthly review of the groups’ product costing records and tracing errors back to their source
• Assist with the groups internal and external audits
• Maintenance and uploading of all stock costing information on to Navision for all Group Companies
• Processing ledger transactions and reconciliations
• Monitoring and control of sample stocks across the Group
• Ensuring accounting information is clear and concise through accurate posting of journals
To join us as Management Accountant you must have:
Essential
•Fully qualified in either CIMA, ACA or ACCA.
•Good knowledge of MS Office packages particularly intermediate/advanced MS Excel
•Experience of using an ERP accounts software package
•Ability to work accurately under pressure and to deadlines.
•Effective communication skills at all levels
•Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative
•Pro-active with a diligent approach to your work
•Current full driving licence
Desirable
•Experience of Microsoft Navision Accounts package
•Experience of working in a Group environment where many transactions are in foreign currencies
•Stock reporting experience including stock valuations and provisions
