We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of commercial projects, working closely with project managers, site teams, and clients. This is a national role requiring flexibility to work across various project locations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and coordinate site engineering activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
2. Interpret and set out project plans, drawings, and specifications.
3. Conduct site surveys, establish control points, and manage setting out duties.
4. Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
5. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
6. Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and resolving any technical or operational challenges.
7. Provide technical support and guidance to site teams, ensuring adherence to design specifications and best practices.
8. Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to maintain effective communication and collaboration.
9. Conduct quality control inspections and maintain accurate site records.
Requirements:
1. A degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in a similar role within the commercial construction sector.
3. Preferably worked on commercial, care homes and refurb projects.
4. Strong knowledge of setting out techniques using GPS, total stations, and laser levels.
5. Familiarity with construction software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM tools.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
7. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
8. A proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
9. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.
