The Buckinghamshire Building Society is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join its busy Mortgages department. In this challenging and varied role, you will be the Team Leader of the administration team, running the day to day Mortgage Administration team from initial application to completion. It is a great opportunity for someone with excellent administration and customer service skills who is seeking an interesting, varied role in financial services. Main Responsibilities:
* Be an active member of the Mortgage Team that aims to deliver first class service to our members pre and post completion.
* Manage the day-to-day priorities of the Operations Administrators.
* Develop and coach the Operations Administrators.
* Collaborate effectively with colleagues from other departments creating a “best in class” environment within the organisation.
* Communicate with the Society’s customers, both current and prospective, providing required information in a timely and appropriate format.
* Undertake all aspects of mortgage administration relating to new, existing and redeemed mortgages in accordance with MCOB for regulated loans.
* Proactively follow up with solicitors, brokers etc to request additional information where required.
* Provide assistance to the completions team as and when required.
Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience as a Team Leader within an office environment.
* Strong customer service skills (preferably in a financial services or legal environment).
* Knowledge of Mortgages, retentions, freehold and leasehold properties is desirable.
* Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
* Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office).
* Excellent attention to detail.
* The ability to work as part of a team and liaise with various other departments within the business.
* A can-do attitude and active team player prepared to “go the extra mile”.
* The ability to react quickly, calmly and professionally in a busy office.
