Wastewater Treatment Team Manager
Full time, 37 hours per week job share will be considered
Salary - £45,110 - £56,388 per annum (depending on experience) plus car allowance

About the role
We’ve an amazing opportunity to join us as our Wastewater Treatment Team Managers in Northumberland within our Wastewater team here at Northumbrian Water. We’re looking for you to lead and motivate operational teams to robustly manage the operation of people, process, and our assets.
This is a pivotal leadership role within the Wastewater team as the successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supporting our operational teams, developing a culture of empowerment, mutual trust, and inclusion whilst maintaining our excellent compliance record.
This is a rewarding role that will see you take responsibility for protecting our environment through ensuring compliance with Wastewater & Environmental Quality standards and that supply meets demand for water recycling treatment.
We’re looking for you to lead by example as the team manager and point of contact for all safe systems of work, ensuring our assets perform safely and efficiently whilst meeting our environmental, quality and departmental targets. It also extends from the daily processes at a site level to the wider Wastewater team, providing input and support on Efficiency and Innovation Projects.
About you
You’ll be extremely driven and have the ability to balance the demands of leading a team and working in the fast paced and ever-changing Production environment. You’ll be a proven effective leader, with an emphasis on engagement and team working. Excellent communication skills both written and verbally are essential.
We’re looking for you to have proven knowledge of the application of safety and quality systems and procedures, along with proven experience of building positive and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, as well as being effective at appropriately challenging existing practices.
We are looking for you to be safety focused, have a proven track record for delivering consistently and driving efficiency, someone with a keen eye for detail, an analytical approach and the creative flair to problem solve in an environment which operates 24/7.
A leader who is flexible and able to own the challenges of maintaining the high standards set, you’ll have a good technical competence with knowledge of the Wastewater Treatment and Bioresources Processes or transferrable skills and experience in process or production fields.
A full driving licence is essential.
