Teaching Personnel have been approached by a mainstream Primary School to recruit Level 2 Teaching Assistants. The school provide alternative provision for children with Moderate Learning Disabilities. They strive to develop a nurturing culture of lifelong learning for staff and pupils whilst helping and encouraging pupils to become valued employers, employees and members of social groups and communities and uphold British values.
As a Teaching Assistant within this provision you will work towards establishing a supportive relationship with the children and parents concerned. Encouraging acceptance and inclusion of children with special needs. Promoting and reinforcing the children's self-esteem as appropriate and acting on these matters as directed by the teacher.
Expectations
- Work in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
- Following Individual plans to meet the pupils needs
- Help the pupils develop academically
- Build and maintain positive relationships with both pupils and staff
- Offer feedback to pupils
- Reflect to the class teacher regarding pupil's progress
