About the Role We are seeking a skilled Clinical Medical Educator to join our team. This role will ensure the educational integrity and excellence of our materials, contributing to the growth and development of healthcare professionals worldwide. By leveraging AI's benefits in medical education, this role is perfect for a GP or GP trainee with a medical editorial background who is eager to use their creative abilities to evaluate, plan, design, and develop effective learning content. We have over a decade of experience delivering award-winning online Postgraduate Diploma, MSc, and MBA distance education programmes as a postgraduate medical education company. Reporting directly to our Head of Medical Education, this role will offer a unique opportunity for professional growth and development, and will be central to our mission of providing high-quality and engaging educational content across a variety of medical specialities. As this role is part-time, working an estimated 2-3 days per week, the benefits package and salary will be pro rata'd accordingly to reflect the full-time equivalence. You will be mainly office-based, with flexibility for remote working over time. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will collaborate closely and cross-functionally with colleagues, stakeholders, and medical specialists / leaders to create and review content that aligns with our editorial style guide and quality standards. Expert Collaboration: Work with medical thought leaders in the creation of new postgraduate Masters programmes that take students on a progressive learning journey by utilising a logical narrative. Content Development: Develop high quality medical content in the form of engaging and comprehensive discussion prompts for students on our online academic forum that align with module learning outcomes and the Learna style guidelines. Question Creation: Develop high-quality best-of-five multiple-choice questions (MCQs) that are in line with our internal author guidance. Responsible for Quality Control: Critically review and edit content to ensure and sign off on medical text and examination questions across diverse specialities, ensuring they meet high standards of accuracy, clarity, consistency and relevance. AI Collaboration: Leverage the opportunity and benefits of using Generative AI (Large Language Models) in content generation, while ensuring that the quality meets current medical guidelines and evidence-based practices. input concerning the usability and effectiveness of the learning environment. Required Qualifications and Experience Medical degree (GP or GP trainee preferred) Proven experience in medical writing and content review in an educational context Required Skills and Personal Attributes Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively. Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines. Being able to work within a team structure and being dependable to seniors. Proficiency in reviewing and enhancing AI-generated content. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to forecast and manage workload. Excellent scientific/medical writing style and skills to adapt content and style to different audience groups. Good IT skills (including the use of the Google suite and the enthusiasm to work with AI). Flexible approach to working, with the ability to reprioritise and work under pressure when needed. Commitment to maintaining high educational standards. Ability to develop an in-depth knowledge of medical education and clinical areas and stay updated on the latest medical research and educational trends.
