The role of Senior Infrastructure Engineer Data Centre in our team is to assist in the management of Data Centre Operations to the Department by providing on site management and coordination of activities within the Data Centres. This will entail working closely with 3rd party providers and different engineering and project teams within DWP to provide a high-quality service whilst ensuring the adherence to security and compliance requirements. You will work with infrastructure specialists and engineers making sure services are delivered and used as required. You will act as 2nd/3rd line support for Data Centre incidents, problems and changes to solutions and services, and will provide specialist technical support and assistance to projects ensuring delivery of requisite non-functional requirements and continual service improvement. You will be responsible for preparations and support of Data Centre IT Operations solutions and services, aligned to industry and organisational best practices and standards, service requirements and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Planning for growth by providing infrastructure solutions based on application needs and anticipated growth. Overall operation and maintenance of DWP digital infrastructure. As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Data Centre, you will deal with the day-to-day management and development of infrastructure products and contribute towards their design. Salary Information Pay for this role is from 55,557 to 66,058. The maximum salary for the grade is 66,058, however a Digital Allowance of up to 2,459 per annum is available for exceptional candidates. Digital Allowance is non-salary, and non-pensionable, and is classed as a temporary allowance. It is reviewed annually where it could be retained, amended, or removed.
