The Departmental Security function’s role is to protect the DBT's people, assets, and information from those who wish to damage it. We do this by building a diverse team with expert, generalist, and entry level roles to work together to solve the challenges we face. This mix allows us to develop talent and to benefit from a wide range of life experiences. This role sits within the Departmental Security's Information Assurance (IA) Hub.
The IA Hub is a function providing stakeholders with a data-led view of DBT’s information risk exposure. It achieves this through securing the relevant data points from key control processes across DBT in combination with HMG and open-source intelligence to support in providing consumable reporting products to key stakeholders.
This role will support the Head of the IA Hub with Key Risk Indicator (KRI) management and is responsible for analysing risk data which is pulled in from 2nd Line of Defence (LoD)* functional areas.
*The 2nd LoD are policy and compliance owners who provide advice, guidance and support the first line. They provide oversight to supporting and challenging management activity whilst monitoring risks.
You will be responsible for:
* Analysing data to better understand potential information risk exposure, concerns and outcomes of decisions
* Aggregating data from multiple sources to provide a comprehensive assessment of information risk exposure
* Perform quality assurance on datasets
* Create reports, summaries, presentations and process documents to display information risk exposure results
* Identify gaps and derives insights and trends from data that has been acquired for the purposes of reporting/information risk exposure.
* Collaborate with other team members to effectively analyse and present data
* Develop systems and processes for gathering and storing data for future analytic projects
* Monitor internal and external data points that may affect the risk level of a decision
* Support with horizon scanning
You will work closely with key stakeholders such as but not limited to Security, Knowledge and Information Management, Digital, Data and Technology Teams to ensure the necessary datasets are provided and uploaded onto the data platform and are updated on a regular basis.

* Provide advice and guidance to IA Hub stakeholders
* Support the Head of the IA Hub as required, including but not exhaustive to horizon scanning, intelligence reporting and security governance
* Have the opportunity to support as a Duty Security Incident Manager (DSIM)
