Residential Therapeutic Intervention Worker Contract type: Permanent Hours: 36 hours per week Salary: £31,524 - £32,931 per annum dependent on experience (plus sleep-in allowance) Location: Kingston Achieving for Children are opening a second childrens home and are looking for a Therapeutic Intervention Worker and Edge of Care Outreach Worker to join their team. Responsibilities The role will be working within a childrens home setting and offering outreach support to children in the community You will provide day to day care of children and young people within a family based environment that promotes positive attachments and relationships Work alongside the wider framework or professionals and families in order to understand a childs life experience and respond and act in ways that promote a childs opportunities and potential Work directly with children and young people Provide the best quality of personalized nurturing care that meets the needs of very vulnerable young people Contribute to developing and maintaining a stimulating, nurturing home where children feel happy, cared for and safe Provide 1-to-1 outreach support to children, young people and families in their own homes and in the community Requirements: Diploma level 3 in caring for children and young people is desirable Maths and English GCSE or equivalent Ability to recognise signs of abuse and trauma and deal with safeguarding issues appropriately Experience of keeping and maintaining records Ability to cope with the pressures of a residential care setting
