Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Qualified Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is ideal for someone who is working towards completing their accounting qualification and is looking to gain practical experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The successful candidate will support the finance department in various accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting and compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Financial Reporting
o Prepare monthly management accounts, including reconciliations and variance analysis
o Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner
o Perform monthly reconciliation of bank accounts, Balance Sheet items and intercompany accounts to ensure records are accurate
o Process and maintain accurate records of financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies
o Support the year-end financial statement preparation
2. Compliance and Regulation
o Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and other statutory filings
3. Analysis and Insights
o Identify and assist in implementing improvements to accounting processes and internal controls
4. Continuous Improvement
o Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance
QUALIFICATIONS
* Actively pursuing a professional accounting qualification (ACCA or equivalent)
* At least 1 – 2 years of relevant experience in an accounting role
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
* Analytical, creative, strategic, and team-building skills
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
