Female Personal Assistant/carer required - CB22 5.25 hours per week - £17.28 per hour I was diagnosed with MS 14 years ago. This is a progressive illness which changes as time goes by. I am currently wheelchair dependent and the mobility challenges that brings with it. I used to work in the telecommunications sector for a network operator but I had to give up my job and I am now medically retired. I am married with three children and a cat. I really enjoy watching football and listening to music and keeping myself informed. I have a purpose built ensuite wet room. There is on drive parking available. Job Description Every Day: To be my personal assistant/carer which will include some or all the following tasks: Assist in the shower with the hard to reach bits. Help with drying and dressing. No lifting is required as I have strong arms and can pivot transfer. After the shower will tidy/surface clean the bathroom including the folding of the towels. Make the bed and do some general tidying up Empty the dishwasher Once a week: Empty the bathroom rubbish bin Change the sheets a duvet cover Adhoc Basis Drive me to appointments for example the Doctors, all journeys will be local - therefore the ability to drive is required for this role. An Enhanced DBS check will be required. – This is to check for any previous criminal records. All relevant training will be provided. – This may be hoist safety, medication administering or food hygiene training as needed.
