Work Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 4:45pm and Friday - 8:30am to 3:45pm Salary guide: £50,000 - £53,000 with a £5k company bonus 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Access to a pension scheme Wellbeing events and access to an EAP Cycle to Work scheme Monthly incentives Regular events Death in Service insurance Health Cash Plan Employee Discounts Free on-site car park Planning Manager Responsibilities: Drive end-to-end planning and procurement activities to support production and customer expectations Develop manufacturing and stock strategies, ensuring requirements and capacity planning meet operational and customer needs Manage product life cycles, from new product introductions and engineering updates to product exits Oversee production planners to ensure all plans reflect customer requirements and KPIs are met Manage stock to ensure customer requirements are met Supervise product transitions and phase-outs with a focus on minimising waste and risk Support product launches with robust pilot builds, ramp-up plans, and go-to-market execution Lead engineering changes on products while maintaining workflow integrity Utilise category code management for stock at risk of obsolescence Develop capacity and pre-build plans to optimise workflows for the planning and procurement team and minimise bottlenecks Build relationships with suppliers to plan for product supply and demand Sign off on production plans Grow and mentor the planning and procurement team through regular performance reviews Collaborate with commercial teams to provide accurate availability updates, manage customer expectations, and identify issues Planning Manager Skills and Experience: Possesses considerable experience as a Planning Manager, gained within a manufacturing or planning environment Confident overseeing stock, working to stock targets and deadlines Management experience, capable of managing and developing a team Extraordinary problem-solving skills, solutions-focused with a proven track record of developing and implementing improvement initiatives Exceptional organisational skills, able to manage multiple projects and priorities Excellent communicator, able to liaise professionally at all levels and inspire a team Strong commercial acumen
