We are looking for a Nursing Home Manager for our nursing home around Bury St Edmunds.
This home has a strong nursing team and clinical lead and deputy manager (non-clinical) within the home as well as a supportive Regional.
The ideal person for this position would be one who has strong commercial acumen, a passion for care and quality. Someone who is self-sufficient and able to manage their own home independently (no micro-management).
Ideally, we would like a nurse manager but would also consider a manager without a PIN but who has strong clinical experience in managing nursing homes.
This home caters for the care of the elderly with dementia.
Main Responsibilities:
1. As a Home Manager, you will lead, inspire, and engage your team to deliver quality and personalised care and support to our residents, enabling them to live later life well;
2. You will be accountable for the commercial and financial performance of the home, including occupancy levels and operating profit whilst ensuring regulatory compliance;
3. Ensure that all care plans are person-centred, reviewed, and updated regularly;
4. Ensure that the Home achieves and remains compliant with regulatory standards and company policies;
5. Ensure all members of staff have completed mandatory and specialist training;
6. Complete staff appraisals and supervisions to support their continuous professional development;
7. Complete internal and external audits and inspections of the service;
8. Carry out investigations of any alleged misconduct and abuse reported in the service and take appropriate action.
You must be:
1. Ideally have a Registered Nurse qualification and current PIN or experience as a Nursing Home Manager;
2. Have over 2 years of experience working at management level;
3. Worked in a Care Home with Good CQC;
4. Hold an NVQ L4 OR RMA;
5. Experienced in quality and clinical governance programmes, including audit and care services;
6. Experienced in working in the healthcare sector;
7. Driven and motivated and believe in quality care;
8. An energetic, committed, and approachable manager;
9. An inspiring leader who can motivate teams through obvious passion and commitment.
