Ashtead Technology is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Survey and Robotics division as a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) External Sales Engineer to drive business development and growth across the business. What you’ll be doing: The role of NDT External Sales Engineer is an exciting blend of Sales, Client Relationship Management and Strategic Planning and offers diverse and dynamic day to day responsibilities. Some key duties include; Business Development Increasing market share, customer penetration, and revenue across all Ashtead Technology services. Influencing bid and pricing strategies by providing immediate and valuable market and client intelligence feedback. Sales and Client Service Driving profitable sales revenue by securing repeat business from existing clients, ensuring excellent client service. Having awareness of client debtor status prior to interaction. Client Account Management Building and maintaining strong relationships with both current and prospective clients. Acting as a strong and positive representative for Ashtead Technology by actively networking, holding client meetings, attending industry events and organising and participating in client entertainment. Market Intelligence Monitoring the market, clients, suppliers and competitors and using knowledge gained to support decision making and business development. Offering timely and actionable pricing feedback from clients to drive wins, influence pricing strategies, and stay informed about competitor pricing, tactics, and developments. Reporting and Communication Completing daily client contact reports (CCRs) and maintaining the pipeline of opportunities within the CRM. What experience you’ll bring: You will use a combination of technical knowledge, commercial expertise and ability to build and maintain client relationships in order to be successful in this role. Some other things that will help you succeed include; Familiarity with commonly used NDT and RVI methods and techniques Previous work in the NTD industry in a commercial / customer facing role Technical and commercial knowledge of the offshore energy equipment rental / service industry Understanding of key account management principles Ability to manage own workload while working towards achieving shared goals and business objectives in a highly collaborative yet demanding environment.
