Protocol are working with an established Further Education College who are actively looking for a Permanent, part time English lecturer in the West Sussex area.
Salary
Unqualified - £11,730 - £12,814.27 Qualified - £13,201.21 - £17,209.84 Full Time Equivalent.
Job Type: 14.5 Hours per week, 52 Weeks per year, Part Time, Permanent.
About the role:
To deliver English qualifications to 16-19 year old learners alongside their vocational studies at our Highbury campus. In addition to delivering to 19+ adult learners who wish to improve their English skills and gain recognised qualifications. Students will study across a range of courses which include; Functional Skills Entry, Level 1 to Level 2 as well as GCSE.
Key Responsibilities:
* To teach on a range of programmes, providing high quality learning opportunities that meet the needs of individual students/apprentices and groups in line with the College’s strategic priorities and objectives.
* To provide flexible assessment opportunities and closely plan, monitor, track and record student/apprentice retention, achievement and success.
* To contribute to the development and delivery of high quality, relevant curriculum and programmes. Curriculum Development.
To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you:
* Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant area
* Experience of teaching GCSE English Language
* Ability to teach mainstream and adult students
* Teaching Qualification in a relevant subject (QTS/QTLS)
* Ability to meet targets within set timescales
* Ability to work well in teams but also to work independently, with the minimum of supervision
