Job Title: Portfolio Analyst Location: Nottingham Contract: Perm Recruiter: Noaman Hussain We are looking for someone to join the Boots Digital Core Team as a Portfolio Analyst. Delivering solutions across the Digital functions of the business, the team works collaboratively with main business customers, Boots IT colleagues and the wider Walgreens Boots Alliance group, getting the most value out of Boots’ IT investment. You’ll work closely with project managers and delivery managers to oversee the delivery of multiple projects and programmes. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that project management processes are followed, and that the correct resources are in place to mobilise and deliver projects. To ensure consistency with overall PMO standards and processes, correct governance, visibility and transparency of all projects. Run internal governance within the platform and collaborate with IT Planning & Analysis to ensure cross platform governance is applied. About the role Reporting to the Portfolio Manager you will provide support to projects across Boots Digital Core Team, operating the governance bodies to ensure the projects follow defined processes and comply with the IT2A Delivery Framework process. Primary duties and responsibilities: Work with the project and programme delivery teams to ensure projects across Boots Digital Core team comply with the PMO standards and procedures Oversee the project lifecycle “gate” process and undertake project schedule and documentation reviews to ensure key deliverables are at the appropriate standard Improve performance across the main processes within the PMO e.g. planning & estimating, demand management & prioritisation, resource management, financial management, and risk management Provide coaching and guidance to project managers and act as a subject matter expert for project management best-practice, IT portfolio methods, financial processes, tools, templates and standards. Review resource utilisation for Digital Core Team ensuring that timesheets are completed accurately, investigating and remediating failure to meet utilisation targets Manage the onboarding of new resources in the team and induction covering the project methodology and delivery framework processes Cascade PMO communications to ensure platform teams are aware of changes or new processes Develop reports and management information to support project teams being able to manage projects, and give senior managers oversight of the health of the portfolio of projects What you’ll need to have These are the essential skills or experience needed to succeed in this role.
