Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Timeplan Education is recruiting a HLTA to lead core lessons in an Early Years and Reception class. The role will be to deliver engaging and interactive pre-planned lessons. Experience in supporting pupils with SEND and SEMH is desirable but not essential, and the successful candidate will be working on a full-time, long-term basis.
Job Responsibilities
1. Comfortable supporting pupils with SEMH and high-functioning Autism and leading pre-planned lessons
2. Ability to engage and support pupils' learning
3. Supporting pupils with emotional regulation
4. Develop therapeutic relationships with pupils
5. Promote and support the inclusion of all pupils in learning activities and maximise their achievement
6. Strong behaviour management

Job Requirements
1. Experience in supporting children or young adults with SEND and SEMH is desirable but is not essential
2. Able to de-escalate and support emotional regulation
3. Valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one
4. Available 5 days a week and able to commit to at least 12-39 weeks
