PRODUCTION PLANNER

We are looking for an experienced Production Planner. This integral role is responsible for production planning, material allocation and scheduling in a small, fast paced Manufacturing unit. This position requires the ability to make decisions around maximising capacity, as well as prioritising internal and external Customer requirements.
Key responsibilities:
* Load customer schedules into MRP and maintain MRP adherence in line with Portfolio
* Capacity Planning vs Customer demands
* Experience in Planning & Scheduling Software (OpsCenter) or other planning tools
* Lead internal meetings for daily operational and customer status.
* Take all measures to ensure supply of components to our manufacturing work centres and to ensure continuity of supply to our customers
* Progress chase production to clearly understand status and support all departments with data to understand priorities / risk if in arrears / quality issue / material supply issue.
* Update customer requirement plans and communicate demand forecasts internally.
* Create and manage planned Production Orders.
* Work alongside purchasing team to ensure material demands are met to deliver projects on time.
* Strong Excel capability

Experience
Experience in working in a fast-paced automotive environment
* Active user of MRP systems.
* Ideally experience of 2 or more different scheduling systems
* Delivering against robust KPIS
* Implementing and working to procedures and processes
* Understanding and working with production data
